Justin Tanner joined SEC in 2026 as Director of Human and Organizational Potential, leading initiatives focused on employee development, leadership growth, workforce engagement, and strengthening our commitment to preventing life-threatening, life-altering, and life-ending events. Justin brings more than 21 years of experience in the electrical utility and line construction industry to the role. He spent the last 12 years with Mississippi Power in both field and leadership roles, including Senior Safety Specialist. Prior to that, he worked as a Foreman with SEC, making this a welcomed return to the SEC family.

Justin is also a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in Afghanistan as a Combat Engineer and Non-Commissioned Officer.

He and his wife, Vanessa, have three children.
