SEC’s Hayes Named Power Player for January
Southern Electric Corporation has named Jonathan Hayes, of Centerville, Louisiana, as its Power Player for the month of January. A Power Player is someone with integrity and high moral standards, possessing strong leadership qualities, a track record of safe production, and dedication to our company and industry, who is hard-working and represents SEC well in everything that they do, allowing SEC to Power Forward.
Hayes, general foreman over the transmission division in Arkansas, has worked in the powerline industry for 20 years, spending the last 5 with SEC. In addition to his general foreman role, he also serves as a project estimator for all transmission projects. “Jonathan is a student of the business, going above and beyond on a regular basis,” says Tommy Jackson, Vice President of Operations for SEC. “He has quickly become an asset to our transmission division and to the growth of SEC.”
Hayes says the best part of his job is his team. “I truly enjoy working with my guys, teaching the new guys, and seeing different places,” says Hayes. “My favorite thing about SEC is that you’re treated like family from day one,” he adds. “That’s important.” Hayes says the hardest part is being a long way from home much of the time.
Hayes and his wife Candy have been married 10 years and have 5 children, twins Chloe and Lillian, 15, Waylon, 13, Braylan, 12, and Macy, 10. He loves spending time with his family as well as hunting and fishing.
