SEC Foreman Andrew Morgan Selected as Quanta Elite
Southern Electric Corporation Foreman Andrew Morgan has been selected for Quanta Services’ Quanta Elite Program. This program identifies top foremen across all Operating Units within Quanta based on leadership abilities, team-building skills, and performance in the field.
Andrew, a Lovelady, Texas native, has 13 years of experience in the powerline industry and has spent the last four years at SEC. Andrew has built his reputation on steady leadership, strong planning, and a commitment to doing the job right.
After just a couple months in the program, Andrew says he has already learned a great deal, particularly about the importance of planning ahead, building personal relationships with crew members, and leading by example each day on the job. When asked what advice he would give those entering the industry, Andrew keeps it simple: “Be the best you can be. Strive for greatness every day. Take pride in your work – no matter how big or small the task.”
“Andrew’s selection as an Elite Foreman is truly well deserved. I’ve had the opportunity to see his leadership up close – he takes care of his crew, holds the line on safety, and consistently delivers quality work the right way,” says Blake Everett, President of SEC. “Andrew leads by example, stays steady under pressure, and raises the standard for everyone around him. We’re proud to recognize him and grateful to have him on our team.”
Andrew and his wife, Tori, have two daughters – a 2½-year-old and a newborn just one week old. In their free time, their family enjoys spending time outdoors camping, boating, hiking, and seeking new adventures together.
To kick things off, honorees attended a two-day event at Quanta’s state-of-the-art training facility, Lazy Q Ranch in La Grange, Texas. There, they connected with other Quanta Elite foremen and began strengthening their leadership skills. As part of the program, Elite Foremen receive advanced leadership training and participate in ongoing collaboration with other Quanta Elite members. This allows them to share best practices and invest in developing linemen and foremen around them to reach the Elite level.
“I love the work I do and I’m grateful for the opportunity to go home to my family every night,” shares Andrew. “I think I have a really bright future here.”
Congratulations, Andrew, on this distinguished honor and for representing SEC so well.
